  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Wooden or metal skewers (wooden soaked in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts, then cut into uniform 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, honey, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the chicken cubes to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, ideally 1 to 2 hours.
  4. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand. Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the skewers, leaving space between pieces.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F). If using a grill pan, heat over medium-high and lightly oil it.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, turning carefully with tongs, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  7. Remove the skewers from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning. Marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes, ideally 1-2 hours, but avoid marinating longer than 6 hours to prevent texture changes. Let chicken rest 5 minutes after grilling to keep it juicy.
