These easy turkey and cheese pinwheel wraps are the perfect packable lunch, made with simple ingredients like flour tortillas, cream cheese, deli turkey, and provolone. They’re quick to assemble, hold up beautifully in a lunchbox, and are a crowd-pleaser for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 810 slices deli turkey breast
  • 4 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Spread: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and black pepper. Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed until completely smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Prep Your Workspace: Lay a large flour tortilla flat on your cutting board. Use a rubber spatula to spread about 2-3 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the entire surface, going all the way to the edges.
  3. Layer the Fillings: Place 2-3 slices of turkey breast flat over the cream cheese, overlapping them slightly. Lay 1 slice of cheese on top of the turkey. If using spinach, add a small handful of leaves in a single layer now.
  4. Roll It Tight: Starting at one edge, roll the tortilla as tightly as you can without tearing it, using your fingers to tuck the filling in as you go.
  5. Wrap and Chill: Place the log seam-side down on a piece of plastic wrap. Wrap it tightly, twisting the ends like a candy wrapper. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  6. Slice and Serve: Unwrap the log and place it on a clean cutting board. Using a sharp serrated knife, slice into 1-inch thick rounds using a gentle sawing motion. You should get about 8-10 pinwheels per wrap.
  7. Plate or Pack: Arrange the pinwheels on a platter or pack directly into lunchboxes.

Notes

For best results, spread cream cheese all the way to the edges to prevent unrolling. Chilling is essential for clean slices. Use a serrated knife for cutting. Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days as a log, or sliced and stored for up to 3 days.
