  • 8 oz (225 g) thinly sliced smoked salmon, preferably wild-caught
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened (full-fat recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons everything seasoning blend (homemade or store-bought)
  • ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • A handful fresh dill, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 small lemon, cut into wedges
  • ½ medium cucumber, thinly sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Toast the everything bagels in a toaster or oven until golden brown and slightly crisp, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Place the softened cream cheese in a bowl and stir in 1 tablespoon of the everything seasoning to infuse flavor.
  3. Thinly slice the red onion and cucumber (if using), and halve the cherry tomatoes. Arrange on a plate or board.
  4. Place toasted bagel halves on the serving board and spread a generous layer of the seasoned cream cheese on each.
  5. Layer the smoked salmon slices on top of the cream cheese, folding gently for texture.
  6. Sprinkle capers evenly over the salmon, then scatter the onion slices, cucumber, and tomatoes around the board.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of everything seasoning over the salmon and cream cheese.
  8. Garnish the entire board with fresh dill and tuck lemon wedges alongside for squeezing.
  9. Serve at room temperature about 10-15 minutes after assembling.

Notes

Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture and flavor. Toast bagels carefully to avoid burning. Stir some everything seasoning into the cream cheese for a flavor boost. Assemble just before serving to keep bagels crisp. Fresh dill adds brightness but can be substituted with chives or parsley.
