A fun and easy Halloween snack mix featuring creepy witch finger pretzels dipped in white chocolate with almond fingernails. Perfect for parties, this salty-sweet treat comes together in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (170g) white chocolate melting wafers or chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
  • Green gel food coloring (optional)
  • 1 bag (about 8 oz) pretzel sticks (thin, standard size)
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds (raw, blanched)
  • 1 cup pretzel twists (for mix)
  • 1/2 cup roasted pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries or cherries
  • 1/2 cup Halloween M&M’s or candy corn

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Place white chocolate wafers or chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until completely smooth (about 1.5-2 minutes). If using regular chips, add 1 teaspoon coconut oil to help melt smoothly.
  3. If desired, add a tiny drop of green gel food coloring to the melted white chocolate and stir until evenly distributed. Start with a very small amount for a pale, sickly green.
  4. Dip each pretzel stick about three-quarters of the way into the melted white chocolate, letting excess drip back into the bowl. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Work in batches of 10-12 at a time.
  5. While the chocolate is still wet, gently press a sliced almond onto the tip of each dipped pretzel, pointed end facing outward like a fingernail. Press lightly to adhere.
  6. Optional: Use a toothpick to gently drag lines across the chocolate coating to create knuckle lines and wrinkles for a more realistic look.
  7. Let the dipped pretzels sit at room temperature until the white chocolate is completely set and firm, about 30-45 minutes. For faster setting, refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  8. Once set, combine the witch fingers with pretzel twists, roasted pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, and Halloween M&M’s in a large bowl. Gently toss to combine.
  9. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Notes

Work in small batches to prevent chocolate from setting before adding almonds. If chocolate thickens, reheat in 10-15 second bursts. Avoid making on humid days as chocolate may not set properly. For gluten-free version, use certified gluten-free pretzels. For vegan version, use dairy-free white chocolate.
